[Facebook–Coach Carlesi] Today the Peglegs played their best game of the season with a 12-2 win over John Adams HS. Owen Potter threw a complete game 4 hitter. Multiple hits by many and good around baseball played by many. I will post the recap. We are now 5-1 in league play. [Adapted from GameChanger] Stuyvesant PEGLEGS Varsity easily dispatched John Adams 12-2 on Tuesday Stuyvesant got on the board in the first inning when Jeremy Rubin singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Stuyvesant put up five runs in the seventh inning. Pegleg batters contributing to the big inning included Max Mah, Malcolm Hubbell, Rubin, and Jared Asch, who each had RBIs in the inning. Owen Potter was on the mound for Stuyvesant . He allowed four hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out 12 and walking one. Espinal-Rodgruez was on the pitcher’s mound for John Adams. He surrendered five runs on seven hits over four and a third innings, striking out one. Martinez and Contreras entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one inning respectively. Stuyvesant saw the ball well today, racking up 14 hits in the game. Hubbell, Rubin, Asch, Luca Bielski, and Mah each had multiple hits for Stuyvesant PEGLEGS Varsity. Hubbell led Stuyvesant with three hits in five at bats. Martinez went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead John Adams in hits.
