Stuyvesant overwhelmed Cardozo tonight, sending a message to PSAL that these Peglegs are for real. Behind thirteen hits and ten walks and a second straight complete game by Sam Levine, Stuyvesant went home with a 17-4 victory and sole possession of first place in the AAA Western division.

At the plate, every Stuy starter reached base at least once. Jeremy Lee had three hits and three rbi. He now has six hits in his last three games. Levine also contributed three hits and five rbi. Paul Liou had two hits and two runs scored.

After the second inning, the game was never in doubt. Cardozo used six pitchers in six innings to try to keep Peglegs off the bases but just couldn’t do it.

• Levine went six innings, striking out five while walking just one. He allowed five hits and two earned runs for his fourth win of the season.
• Peter Carini and Axel Riess stayed hot, contributing one hit each. Carini had a double and two rbi.
• Cameron Nelson and Jesse Wang had their first hits of the PSAL season, each with run scoring singles
