Thu. March 10 2022 at Pier 40 Trinity (1) vs. Hitmen (7) March 10, 2022 123456789RHE Trinity 10000121 Peglegs 0313X75O The Peglegs opened up their pre-season today with a 7-1 victory over the Trinity Tigers in 5 innings. On the mound, we looked great: Iravan Bhattacharyya started the game and was stellar. After giving up a run in the top of the first, Iravan blanked the Tigers for the next 3 innngs. Sam Levine came in to shut the door in the last inning, striking out four in the frame. At the plate on on the bases, we were off to a great start as well: Smart, aggressive base running by Paul Liou and Jeremy Lee led to runs. We also had great situational hitting and productive outs by Peter Carini, Ethan Lin and Julian Malenda. This was a total team effort and our defense was perfect. It was great to return to a newly renovated Pier 40 and get a W against a very talented Trinity team. It was also a weird to return to the pier without coach Matt Hahn being there. I have to say it was very tough for me not to think about him every inning today. I’ve been so used to looking over at the end of the dugout and seeing him sitting there writing his little notes so he could give his recap at our end of game meeting on how the played. I know he was looking down at the game today and he was proud of way the we played today. Great job boys! #1 of 9 #2 of 9 #3 of 9 #4 of 9 #5 of 9 #6 of 9 #7 of 9 #8 of 9 #9 of 9
