[via GameChanger– Edited for clarity] Stuyvesant PEGLEGS Varsity Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over HS For Construction The Stuyvesant PEGLEGS Varsity defeated HS For Construction 7-3 thanks to strong pitching from Jared Asch and timely hitting from Max Onderdonk, Joseph Halim, Solomon Medintz, and Jack Archer. Construction captured the lead in the first inning, but Stuyvesant equalized and went ahead for good on a single by Jack Archer and a groundout by Dean Steinman. Tobias Lange hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the inning’s final run. Kenny Chu singled in a run in the second inning. Stuyvesant answered a Construction score in the sixth when Solomon Medintz grounded out, scoring one run. Jared Asch earned the win for Stuyvesant, going five innings, surrendering two runs, two hits, and striking out five. Archer threw one inning and earned the save, as he and Jeremy Rubin helped Stuyvesant finish off the victory. Onderdonk, Halim, and Archer each collected multiple hits for Stuyvesant.
