The game was tied at one with Stuyvesant batting in the bottom of the fifth when Michael Gillow singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run. In the second inning, Norman Thomas got their offense started. Torres singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Stuyvesant knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the third inning, when Gillow singled. Malcolm Hubbell was the winning pitcher for Stuyvesant. He allowed four hits and one run over seven innings, striking out four. Rodriguez took the loss for Norman Thomas. He allowed five hits and four runs over six innings, striking out four.
